Kamali scored on his Lions debut after only four minutes away to New York Athletic Club, paving the way for a 2-0 win. The striker scored the goal that took the U.S. Open Cup draw at Western Mass to penalty kicks having assisted on the first goal, but also picked up a second yellow card.
The local forward played in five matches in 2017, scoring twice, before suffering a season-ending knee injury in the home win over Hartford City, which also ruled him out of the 2018 campaign.
He played at Bellingham High School and has spent time with Mass United, Portland Phoenix and New England Force. He played college soccer at Hawaii Pacific University and Roger Williams University, where he made the 2012 NCAA Division III All-American second Team.
Kamali was selected from the round of fall open tryouts the club held during September, October and November 2016.
