#8Ronaldo Vieira

Injury hampered the captain’s season as he missed five NPSL matches and was suspended once, but he still totaled 577 minutes played.

He was red-carded in the U.S. Open Cup win away to Western Mass Pioneers in a match when he also suffered a knee injury that impacted his 2017 campaign.

Ronaldo was truly the heart and leader of the Lions in 2016, starting every match apart from one when he was suspended, logging 1,329 minutes.  He scored one goal, the first strike in a 3-2 win away to Greater Lowell United.

Ronaldo played with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League and was part of the squad that reached The Championship, the NASL season final, losing 2-1 to the San Antonio Scorpions. The midfielder scored 4 goals in 5 appearances for the Strikers. Having played collegiate soccer at Framingham State, he joined the GPS Portland Phoenix and Western Mass Pioneers before making the move to the NASL. He operates Personal Best Performance & Fitness and New England Bubble Soccer locally.
