Two of Boston City FC’s Brazilian clubs are on the cusp of a place in the semi finals of the Campeonato Mineiro as they head into the second legs of the quarter finals this weekend.
The club’s professional team drew 0-0 at home against Pouso Alegre last week and require a win from the away leg at 3pm on Saturday (2pm US ET) at the hosts’ Estádio Manduzão to earn a place in the semis with the prize for the second division finalists being a promotion to the first division.
Boston City FC owner Renato Valentim will fly in briefly from his home in Massachusetts to catch all the action which can also be seen at https://www.facebook.com/bostoncityfcbrasil/.
At 10pm on Sunday (9pm US ET), the Under 15s need only a draw away to America MG in Belo Horizonte, having won 2-1 in the first leg, to progress.
Both Lions teams rose from the third to the second division last season, so are seeking a second straight promotion.
