Avner was one of the most consistent performers in 2019, slotting into the back four in the third match of the NPSL season, totaling a second-most 874 minutes. He scored his first goal for the club, an injury time penalty to seal a 4-2 home win over the Kingston Stockade.
Avner played in every match of 2018, his debut season with the Lions, totaling 785 minutes in the heart of midfield. He picked up two yellow cards.
The Brazilian returned to the Lions, playing for the BCFC II team in the BSSL and scoring in a 5-0 win over Eastern Mass on May 4, 2019.
