Pedro was re-signed when assistant coach Roberto Mazzinghy became an interim head coach after eight matches of the 2019 NPSL season and returned to the side in the June 7 loss away to the Rhode Island Reds. He totaled 450 minutes of action, and has played 1,592 minutes during three seasons.
Pedro played in seven matches in 2018 and ended the season with a spectacular 25-yard strike that found the net off the underside of the crossbar in a 3-2 home win over Greater Lowell for his first Lions goal. In 17 matches during two seasons, he has logged 1,142 minutes. He also recorded his first assist in 2018.
Defensive midfielder Pedro was the team’s unsung hero in the trenches in 2017, breaking down opponents’ attacks and quickly transitioning possession.
The Brazilian enjoyed a composed season as he started every match from mid-season onward and wore the captain’s armband once. He totaled 696 minutes in the NPSL.
In his native Brazil, he played for Rio-based teams Duque de Caxias, Cabofriense, Duque Caxiense and Crac.
